[Outside
A Warehouse]
(Carly's trying to revive an unconscious Lorenzo)
Carly: (Doing CPR) Come on, somebody!
Somebody help! A man's collapsed! Oh. (Does mouth to mouth, Lorenzo
comes to coughing) Lorenzo, can you hear me? Lorenzo start talking to
me. You better start talking to me right now or I'm taking you to the
hospital. Is that what you want? Talk to me or I'll take you to the
hospital and the police are going to come to you! Do you want that?
Is that what you want?
Lorenzo: (Whispers) Thank you.
(Dillon & Georgie run up)
Dillon: What happened?
Georgie: (Reaching in her purse for her
cell phone) I'm going to call 911.
Carly: No, no, no, no, no, no. We're...we're
taking him home and we will deal with things from there. Ok, you know
what? Here. (Reaches into Lorenzo's pocket and hands his car keys to
Dillon) You go find a black Mercedes sedan...it should be easy to find.
I need you to help me put him in the car. Go.
Georgie: No. I really think...
Carly: No, just...I think you should go
now! Hurry! (Dillon & Georgie run off) Lorenzo, just...just
breathe. Just stay still and...and breathe.
Lorenzo: Why did you save me? (Coughs)
{Lorenzo's
Place]
(Dillon & Georgie are helping Lorenzo to the couch)
Carly: OK, just put him down on the couch.
Be careful.
Dillon: Is this OK?
Lorenzo: Yes.
Dillon: Yeah?
Georgie: No, he needs a doctor.
Carly: OK, you can go to the...go to the
kitchen, get a cloth, run it under some cold water. I'll put it on his
neck. (Sits next to Alcazar)
Dillon: All right.
Carly: Hurry up. Hurry. Does it hurt when
you breathe?
Lorenzo: Not considering the alternative.
Carly: (Starts unbuttoning his shirt) Oh,
you know what? The kid is right...you need to go to a doctor.
Lorenzo: I need rest.
Carly: You know what? You could have internal
injuries.
Lorenzo: No one hit me. I wasn't shot.
Carly: Well you were strangled
Lorenzo: Ahem. I think it was the garrote.
It was so simple in spite of my precautions. Ah.
Carly: Blood vessels...they could be bursting
in your head right now as we speak.
Lorenzo: I'd be dead if it weren't for
you.
(Dillon & Georgie come back in)
Carly: Come on. Come on.
Dillon: Cloth. (Hands Carly the rag) There
you go.
Carly: (Takes rag) Thanks.
Dillon: Um...Georgie can go home right?
Carly: (Puts rag on Lorenzo's neck) Yeah,
you know what? You both...you both should just go home.
(Dillon & Georgie start to leave)
Georgie: OK
Carly: Go. Hey, wait, wait, wait
Dillon: Yeah?
Carly: You cannot tell anyone about this.
Georgie: Don't worry. Mac would freak and
I'm in enough trouble as it is.
Carly: Right. Thanks...thanks for your
help. Go.
Georgie: Don't worry. Come on. (Walks into
the hallway followed by Dillon) I can't believe this is happening.
Dillon: (Closes door) You need to get home,
Georgie.
Georgie: Somebody tried to murder that
guy.
Dillon: Yeah, well, it happens.
Georgie: What if the killer comes back
and tries to finish the job? Come on (takes his arm) you need to get
out of here.
Dillon: I'm not getting out of here. I'm
just going to stay for a little bit to make sure he's OK
Georgie: Alcazar?
Dillon: Yeah, Alcazar. He's helped me out
more than once. I just...I want to pay him back.
Georgie: Lorenzo Alcazar is an international
criminal and you're a high school student. He's got people trying to
strangle him in alleyways and you just got fired from your job...
Dillon: Yeah, I know...
Georgie: For making out with your girlfriend.
Do you see the discrepancy here?
Dillon: Yes, I see...
Georgie: You can't pay him back.
Dillon: I see the discrepancy, OK? I just...I
just want to hang around and make sure that he's all right and then
I'm going to...I'm going to split, I promise.
(Dillon
walks back in)
Dillon: How..how's he doing? (Closes door)
Carly: I thought you were leaving
Dillon: Yeah, well, Alcazar's helped me
out once or twice. I just want to stick around and make sure he's OK
That's all.
Carly: Yeah, well, I need to get home.
(Stands up) You keep an eye on him. You call 911 if he starts coughing
up any blood or he collapses.
Dillon: Oh, sure, yeah whatever he needs.
Lorenzo: Could you bring me a glass of
water and an ice pack?
Dillon: Uh-huh. Yeah.
Lorenzo: And that bottle of aspirin next
to the sink in the kitchen
Dillon: Yeah, OK (Leaves)
Lorenzo: That should keep him busy for
a while.
Carly: I still haven't heard you promise
to let this go.
Lorenzo: I have a right to defend myself.
Carly: You need to start over, someplace
else. Go live a long and happy life far away from here and forget this
night ever happened.
Lorenzo: (Sits up) I have everything to
gain if I stay here. But I promise I won't retaliate against Sonny or
Jason.
Carly: Thanks.
Lorenzo: But I'll never forget this night.
You saved my life when it would've been easier to let me die.
Carly: You saved my child. Now we're even.
(The "Lily" look-alike walks up to the door and is about to
knock when she hears Carly's voice) Dillon?
Dillon: Yeah?
Carly: I'm leaving.
Lorenzo: Is Mrs. Corinthos running away?
Carly: No, Mrs. Corinthos is going home.
To her husband. (Leaves)
(Dillon
watches as Alcazar takes some pills and drinks water)
Lorenzo: Why are you looking at me?
Dillon: I...I don't know. You just..you
have this killer bruise on your neck and it's...it's black and blue,
you know? And I thought...
Lorenzo: You were right the first time.
It almost was a killer bruise. Ahem.
Dillon: Does it bother you that you almost
died tonight? I mean, correction...you were almost killed tonight
Lorenzo: I was careless. Ahem. By the time
I realized what...(waves Dillon to sit next to him) ahem. Ahem. There
was a terrible moment there when I realized I didn't have a chance,
I couldn't fight back. And I'm sure I'll have nightmares about it, but
they'll pass. Ahem. And then I'll look back on tonight...ahem...and
I'll compare it what I've lost to what I've gained. You need to do that
with everything in life. Did what you get out of it make it worth going
through.
(Sonny's associate approaches the door and starts to pick the lock when
he hears the elevator ding and he runs and hides)
Dillon: So what did you get out of tonight?
Lorenzo: That's none of your business...ahem.
(Dillon laughs and then there's a knock at the door) Answer the door
please.
Dillon: Yeah. (Stands up and walks over
to the door and opens it to find Faith on the other side)
Lorenzo: Ahem.
Faith: Oh! Always a pleasure to see you
Dillon. Although I must say I wonder why you'd be...(sees Alcazar) who
tried to kill you?
Lorenzo: Let's hope it wasn't you.
Faith: I wouldn't dream of it. Let me call
you a doctor.
Lorenzo: No, no. Dillon was kind enough
to help me. You can give him a ride home.
Dillon: Nah. That's cool, though. I'll
take a bus or something.
Lorenzo: Faith is my business associate.
She respects the fact that you're under my protection.
Dillon: I am?
Lorenzo: Call it quid pro quo.
Faith: That means, you scratch my back,
I'll...
Dillon: I know what it means
Lorenzo: So if I ask Faith to get you home
safely, I know she will.
Faith: I'll be delighted.
(Faith and Dillon leave)
[Docks]
(Faith and Dillon walk on the docks)
Dillon: Where'd you park your car? Toledo?
Faith: Feels good to stretch my legs.
Dillon: Listen, I really don't need a ride
home from you. I mean, I can walk from here.
Faith: Now, Alcazar told me to take you
home, if I disobey him, I might end up with my dearly departed hubby
(runs a finger down Dillon's chest)
Dillon: (Grabs her hand) Don't do that.
Faith: This is a question of self-preservation,
so why don't you just let me take you home and tuck you into bed.
Dillon: Alcazar didn't say anything about
bed.
Faith: He wants us to get along.
Dillon: Oh God. (Turns to leave)
(Faith grabs him and pulls him into a kiss and Georgie sees)
