Went a little
picture happy! :)
[Hotel Room]
(Mac's at the door)
Dillon: Sir, there's something (Mac walks
in as Georgie pulls up her straps and puts a pillow in front of her)
you need to know...
Mac: Shut up!
Dillon: No, this is not...
Mac: I'm not interested! I'm taking you
home, Georgie.
Georgie: (Moves pillow) No. I'm not leaving.
Georgie:
I realize this is upsetting for you.
Mac: Well, your damn right about that.
Georgie: And you probably feel like you
should punish me, maybe...maybe ground me for the rest of my life, or
send me away somewhere, maybe to visit my mom in Texas or to some boarding
school.
Mac: That sounds good, Georgie. Sounds
good.
Georgie: And...and I realize that (stands
up) I have to do what you say for a little while longer because you're
the parent, (walks to the head of the bed) and...and however you decide
to handle it is fine. But I...I have made my own decisions on Dillon.
He's my boyfriend, and there's nothing you can do to change that.
Mac: (Turns to face Dillon) I need some
time alone with my daughter.
(Dillon looks at Georgie for confirmation to leave)
Georgie: It's ok.
Dillon: OK I'll be...be right outside if
you need me. You probably won't. (Starts to close the door) Looks like
you're doing just fine. (Closes the door)
Mac: (Turns back to Georgie) I don't know
where to start.
Georgie: Then let me.
Mac: OK Sure. (Crosses arms across chest)
Go ahead.
Georgie: Mac, you know me. You've been
a steady figure in my life since the day I was born.
Mac: And that's been my privilege, and
I always will be, but this...
Georgie: But you said you'd hear me out.
For as long as I can remember, I...I've lived for other people or for
their approval, I'm not sure which...but I've always brought home straight
A's, I've never been drunk, or even tasted alcohol. I don't do drugs
and I don't have casual sex, in fact I've never even had sex.
Mac: (lets out a sigh of relief) Thank
God!
Georgie: I know you think I'm too young,
by my friends have been doing it for years, and I didn't jump on that
bandwagon because I believe that making love should be something special,
especially for your first time, reserved for someone that you really
care about.
Mac: And you think that's Dillon?
Georgie: It is Dillon. I know that
you don't like him but that's because you've never given him the opportunity.
You just assumed he was some jerk like Kyle, and he's so not. Dillon
is amazing, and you'd know that if you just took the time to get to
know him. He's smart and kind and generous and funny. But (sits on bed)
most of all, he makes me happier than I ever thought I could be. (Camera
cuts
to Dillon on the other side of the door listening to what Georgie's
saying, causing him to smile) He thinks I'm special. He'd rather spend
time with me than anyone else in the entire world, and I love that.
I can...I can speak with him. I can share my deepest, darkest feelings
and not worry about him judging me. Even if he thinks I'm off the wall,
he'll try to understand and I won't give him up. Not for you or for
mom or anyone.
(Mac and
Georgie are sitting on the bed)
Mac: The way I see it, I can give you the
standard lecture on the dangers of unprotected sex. How your life could
be ruined in any number of ways...unwanted pregnancy, contracting HIV,
or any of the many STD's that are out there. I could drone on and on
about how important it is to keep up your grades. How there's a brilliant
future out there just waiting for you, as long as you keep your options
opened and your life complication-free. But I think if I said all that,
your eyes would glaze over and I'd be wasting my breath, because you
already know this. Not only are you smart, you're wise beyond your years.
Georgie: Wow. Who knew you felt that?
Mac: My mistake for not telling you. You
are a dream child, Georgie. You're focused, responsible, you've got
great habits, and great heart, never a minute's trouble...until now,
when stolen bikes and hotel rooms are starting to figure into the picture.
Georgie, you may be smart and you may be wise, and you may be old enough
to make love. But you know what? You are too new in the world to realize
all the ways a hurt you don't even acknowledge can grab on to you and
make you act out in all kinds of ways.
Georgie: Wait. You lost me. "A...a
hurt"?
Mac: The elephant in the room we're both
afraid to discuss.
Mac:
Remember that summer a couple years ago, when you'd wake up every night
with stomach pains?
Georgie: What does that have to do with
anything?
Mac: I think its related to this thing
you have for Dillon.
Georgie: That's pretty obscure.
Mac: Your stomachaches started when Felicia
left to help Luke find Lucky. As soon as your mom came home the pains
went away.
Georgie: So?
Mac: So? Remember how furious Maxie was
with Felicia? And you were the peacekeeper, Georgie, you know, just
happy to have your mom home and jumping through hoops to make sure everyone
was happy too. Maybe its your time to be furious. Felicia's been gone
a long time.
Georgie: Are you saying my feelings have
something to do with my mother being gone? That's ridiculous. (Gets
off the bed)
Mac: Is it?
Georgie: (Turns back around) I'm not mad
at my mother! She's not here because my grandmother needs her.
(Camera cuts to Dillon)
Mac: It can still feel like abandonment.
Look, you both have absent mothers in common, Georgie. Maybe that's
why you've bonded. He's just your way of avoiding issues you don't want
to address.
(Camera cuts back inside)
Georgie: I so don't agree. I'm in love
with Dillon and the reasons have nothing to do with my mother.
Mac: Well, time will tell. (Stands up)
In the meantime, I guess you've made a decision haven't you? (Georgie
nods) I m ay not like it. But I'll respect it, and trust you to keep
a level head and to be responsible.
Georgie: You don't have to worry.
Mac: Oh, yeah, I do have to worry. Accidents
happen you know. Robin never meant to get HIV and she's one of the most
conscientious people on the planet. (Moves down to eye level with Georgie
and takes her hands) Georgie, you are standing on the brink of the rest
of your life. I mean, maybe you'll love Dillon through it. You probably
won't. I just don't want you to make a choice now that could take away
your future. (Kisses her cheek and starts to head for the door)
Georgie: (Turns around) That's it?
Mac: (Stops and turns back around) I heard
you before. There's nothing I can say or do that's going to make you
stop loving this boy. I'll take you at your word. (Hugs her) I love
you, you know? I love you so much. I only want what's best for you.
Georgie: (tearful) I know. I love you,
too. Thank you for being so understanding.
Mac: (Kisses her forehead) You owe me 200
bucks for this room, you know.
(Georgie nods. Mac opens the door and looks at Dillon and leaves without
saying a word to him. A surprised Dillon walks back in the room)
Dillon: Um...why am I not being hauled
out of here in a body bag? (Closes the door)
Georgie: (tearful with her back to him)
I was extremely calm and persuasive, not to mention very mature.
Dillon: (glancing at the door) I could've
sworn I was...(looks back at Georgie) I was going to jail for sure,
you know what I mean?
Georgie: (Turns to face him on the brink
of tears) Mac only wants what's best for me. (Hugs Dillon crying)
(Georgie
pulls back)
Georgie: I don't even know why I'm so upset.
It doesn't make any sense. (Walks over to the bed) I mean, one moment
I'm this completely mature adult (sits on the bed) making my own choices,
and the next I'm just a lonely little girl in the dark with a stomachache,
wishing my mother would come home.
Dillon: Wow. Mac is better than I thought.
Georgie: (Confused) What do you mean?
Dillon: Well, can you honestly say you
still feel like making love?
Georgie: No, I don't.
Dillon: See? Mac wanted to stop us from
having sex tonight, and he did.
Dillon:
You can't blame (kneels beside the bed) yourself for something like
that. I mean, Mac knows more about manipulating people than you and
I ever will. Not only is he a parent, he's a cop.
Georgie: But he played me like a video,
and he was so honest and sincere when he was talking bout how he respected
me and my ability to make my own choices.
Dillon: Well, yeah, and I'm sure that part
is completely and totally true. And that's probably why it worked, you
know? I mean, that's the key to parental manipulation...the guy knows
everything about you.
Georgie: (Grabs a candle) Tonight was supposed
to be ours, you and me alone, making love for the first time.
Dillon: Yeah, for the both of us.
Georgie: And now it's ruined (puts candle
back) it's like Mac is hovering over the bed and my mom's peeping through
(both laugh) the picture on the wall.
Dillon: Yeah.
Georgie: And I'm doubled over in the bathroom
with a stomachache.
Dillon: Watch out, my mom just went in
there and she's blow-drying her hair. (Georgie giggles as Dillon stands
up and walks over to the champagne)
Georgie: Some romantic night, huh?
Dillon: It had its moments.
Georgie: (Stands up and walks over to him)
Well, you know, (Dillon grabs the champagne) we could try again
Dillon: What, in front of all these people?
(Georgie giggles)
(Dillon pours the champagne into the glasses)
Georgie: Are you terribly disappointed?
Dillon: No. I mean, I got to be with you.
(Sets bottle down) And, hey, we got something to look forward to, you
know? (Picks up the glasses and hands her one) And by the way, next
time we're getting the hell out of Port Charles, going to some five-star
hotel in Manhattan overlooking Central Park.
Georgie: Or a tent in the farthest
corner of the nearest national park as long as it's just us.
(Glasses clink)
Dillon: Just us.
(They intertwine arms to drink. Dillon puts his free hand over Georgie's
glass and then leans forward and kisses her)
