[Inside
Kelly's]
(Dillon is by the phone when Georgie walks up with a newspaper)
Georgie: Dillon?
Dillon: (Hangs up the phone) Oh, hey.
Georgie: Ok, read this. It's about Alcazar.
Dillon: (Takes paper) "PCPD braces
for drug violence"
Georgie: I told you that guy was dangerous
Dillon: That's great.
Georgie: Ok, you've done 2 assignments
for Alcazar, and you've basically blown both of them. I mean, what if
he comes after you?
Dillon: I don't know. But who cares I mean
I was stupid enough to go around him the first time, that...that was
a big mistake. But the fact is you covered for me at Kelly's when I
picked his pocket. OK, so he knows we're connected
and if anything happened to you, I don't know what I...
Georgie: Dillon, Dillon. Wait, wait. He
hasn't contacted you lately right? What if he's...he's lost interest?
Dillon: Oh, yeah. Like he's the type of
guy that'll just let things go. Does he seem like the forgetful type
to you?
Georgie: What do you want to do?
Dillon: I don't know. I have a plan but
it's...kind of extreme.
[PCPD]
(Georgie and Dillon walk in)
Georgie: OK, you're doing the right thing.
It's going to change Mac's entire opinion about you.
Dillon: Oh, from what? Suspected troublemaker
to confirmed screwup?
Georgie: Tell Mac the truth and he'll appreciate
that and protect you from Alcazar.
Dillon: Oh, yeah.
Georgie: It'll be OK
Dillon: Yeah, yeah unless he throws me
in jail for aiding and abetting or something like that.
Georgie: All right, Mac's been a little
tough on you but...
Dillon: Yeah, a little bit. A little bit.
Georgie: But he'll appreciate that you're
learning from your mistakes. And he'll let us hang out together so we
won't have to sneak around.
Mac: What the hell are you doing with my
daughter?
Georgie: Mac, just...wait just a second.
Let him explain.
Dillon: There's something kind of serious
that I need to tell you about.
Mac: Let me guess. You've dragged my daughter
into yet another disaster?
Dillon: Yes, sir I'm afraid you're right.
Dillon:
OK, you know all he asked me to do was deliver a letter. I'm thinking
that's...that's not such a big deal, you know, but the second time comes
around and...and that boat blows up in the harbor.
Georgie: Dillon had nothing to do with
the explosion, but he had to make a phone call and he never even got
that far.
Mac: Have you been contacted by Alcazar
since then?
Dillon: No. No, he had his thug come and
pay me off.
Mac: (stands up) You need to leave the
state, Dillon. Better yet, the country. No you either go back to your
mother or you have your family enroll in a school abroad.
Georgie: Do...do you think Dillon's in
that much danger?
Mac: Dillon is a danger to himself and
to you.
Georgie: Mac, he's trying to do the right
thing.
Mac: Georgie, after spending the night
in jail for vehicular theft and transporting a minor across the state
line, your friend decided to straighten up by doing a favor for a drug
lord? That is not a lapse in judgment. That is a destructive spiral,
and I don't want you anywhere near it.
Georgie: Mac, you're being completely unfair.
(Mac's pager beeps)
Mac: I have to get this. (To Dillon) Let
me tell you something. You stay away from my daughter or Alcazar will
be the least of your problems. (Leaves)
Dillon: Well, that went well, I think.
Georgie: Dillon, I am so sorry.
Dillon: No, it's funny.
Georgie: It's like he wasn't even listening.
Dillon: Everybody...Mac is turning out
to be just like everybody else...even my grandfather, Alan and everybody
in my so-called family. (Faces her) How funny is it that the only adult
that doesn't think I'm a waste of air is Alcazar?
[Docks]
(Dillon sees faith exchanging money for drugs on the dock and then sees
her get busted by Mac and another cop. The guy dealing with Faith pulls
a gun and Mac warns him to put the gun down. The guy fires and Mac fires
and the guy falls to the ground right in front of Dillon. The briefcase
of money flies out of the guy's hand and lands in front of Dillon. While
Mac is booking Faith, she sees Dillon. He grabs the briefcase of money
and runs off before the cops can see him)
[Outside
Kelly's]
(Georgie & Dillon are sitting at a table)
Georgie: How much is that?
Dillon: Well, I got a better question for
you (puts briefcase on his lap)...what is the blonde, black-widow drug
dealer going to do to get it back?
Georgie: Well, did she see you?
Dillon: Yes. She was looking right at me.
Georgie: Then why'd you take it?
Dillon: I don't know. That's a good question.
I guess I had a temporary brain freeze. What happened was there was
Mac and the other cop, and they were arresting the blonde and the guy
who sold her the drugs. And so this guy he pulls out a pistol and starts
running and one of the cops shoots at him and he falls dead at my feet.
You know, and then he was it was like...I don't know I had an out-of-body
experience or something because I see my hand going down to reach for
this thing and my mind is screaming, "No, don't do it. Don't do
it." You know what I mean?
Georgie: Well what are you going to do?
Dillon: I don't know but I got to think
of something because once that blonde gets out of jail she's coming
after me.
Dillon:
I...I can't go to the cops and tell them that I have a briefcase full
of drug money.
Georgie: Yeah, Mac would freak out.
Dillon: Yeah, and he'd probably think I
was into something with Alcazar.
Georgie: Well, you could go to the Quartermaines.
They have lots of security there.
Dillon: No, I'm not going to do that. I'm
not going to put them in that kind of danger. I mean, yes, they're a
bunch of jerks besides Emily and Ned and my grandmother. But, you know,
Ned's got his baby living there.
Georgie: Well, maybe Mac's right. Maybe
you should grab your passport and leave the country.
Dillon: No. No way.
Georgie: Why?
Dillon: No. Because if the blonde comes
around, she starts asking questions, she's going to find out you're
connected to me, and then she could...you know she could hurt you or
something and...
Georgie: Yeah.
Dillon: I'm not going to let that happen.
Georgie: OK, OK, OK bad idea. The drug
people are probably watching all the international flights anyhow.
Dillon: Well I know what my mom would do.
Get a hotel room and eat room service day and night.
Georgie: For the rest of your life?
Dillon: Why now? I got the cash.
Georgie: I know a place where you can hide
where the drug people will never look.
Dillon: Where's that?
Georgie: My bedroom.
